Penn Township is a township in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the State College, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,044 at the 2000 census. Poe Valley State Park a Pennsylvania state park is in Penn Township. Penn Township was formed in Nov 1844 out of the western part of Haines Township and a portion of Gregg Township.
