Ontwa Township is a civil township of Cass County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,865 at the 2000 census.

In the traditional township numbering for the State of Michigan, Ontwa Township is T 8 S, R 15 W, substantially truncated on the south by the Indiana state border.
