Other

One of the Pioneer families to Penn. was the McConnell family from Ireland. In the thirteenth century the McConnells fought with the Heavy Irish Infantry and were noted for their bravery. As early as 1735 our McConnells were living in the Cumberland valley of Penn. The Cumberland valley was called, "Old Mother Cumberland" because of the many families that began their life in America in that location.
