Oak Mountain is an inhabited place.

Cleola had a post office at one time. Looks like from 1887-1929. Not sure if 1929 is also the year the name changed to Oak Mountain. There was also a Grist Mill on Oak Mountain Road between the railroad tracks (no longer there) and the creek (across the street from the J.H.Milner store (still standing). (Between Hwy 27 and Moon Road.)

The Grist Mill, according to my grandmother, Mary Louise Milner, was designed by her father, William Henry Milner (father Richard C. Milner, g-father L. Berry "Littleberry" Milner). The Mill was closed and my understanding from family is that the water wheel was taken to a park somewhere in Georgia to be preserved.
