Norton is a village in Bassetlaw District, Nottinghamshire, just north of Cuckney, which is home to a number of farmsteads. Lying within the original extent of Sherwood Forest, and on its present edge, and lying within the Welbeck Abbey Estate.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Norton from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"NORTON, a township in Cuckney parish, Notts; 1 mile N E of Cuckney village. Population: 320. Houses: 55."
