North Tipperary is a county in Ireland. It is part of the Mid-West Region and is also located in the province of Munster. It is named after the town of Tipperary and consists of 48% of the land area of the traditional county of Tipperary. North Tipperary County Council is the local authority for the county. In 2011, the population of the county was 70,322.
