Newton by Tattenhall is a civil parish which, since 2009, has been in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. At the 2001 Census, the population was recorded as 116.

Prior to 1866 the civil parish was a township in the ancient parish of Tattenhall in the Broxton Hundred. It included part of the hamlet of Brockholes (redirected to the neighbouring civil parish of Golbourn Bellow). The population was 59 in 1801, 117 in 1851, 159 in 1901, 160 in 1951, and 116 in 2001.
