Milton is located in Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire, England. It is mainly situated between the A5009 and A53 roads. Milton once had a station on the North Staffordshire Railway. Part of the platform still remains, as do the original tracks, running adjacent to the Caldon Canal.

Milton was a parish in Wolstanton Rural District from its inception in 1894 until its abolition in 1904 when, along with Chell, it was added to Smallthorne Urban District. The urban district was abolished in 1922 and Chell was absorbed into the county borough of Stoke-on-Trent.
