Situated on the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16), McBride is a small community in the Robson Valley region of British Columbia, Canada, located southeast of Prince George, west of the Alberta border, and west of Jasper, Alberta.

Located between the Canadian Rockies and the Cariboo Mountains, McBride lies in the Robson Valley, which comprises the upper reaches of the Fraser River southeast of Prince George and take its name from Mount Robson which stands near the head of the valley and the source of the river.
