Mahbubnagar or Mahboobnagar, formerly known as Palamooru, is a district in the Telangana region in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is named after its largest city and district headquarters, Mahbubnagar.

It is the second largest district in the state by area, located from the state capital of Hyderabad.

The largest towns in the district are Mahbubnagar, Narayanpet, Atmakur, Achampet, Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Jadcherla, Kalwakurthy, Shadnagar, Kodangal, Amarchintha, Makhtal, Alampur, Kollapur and Nagarkurnool.
