Lincoln County is a county located in the U.S. state of West Virginia. As of 2010, the population was 21,720. [1] Its county seat is Hamlin. Founded in 1867, the county was named for Abraham Lincoln.
Lincoln County is part of the Charleston, WV metropolitan area, which had an estimated a 2006 Census population estimate of 305,526 people.
