Lily Lake is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The town is 11 miles southwest of Elgin and 43 miles west of Chicago. The village is part of the Chicago metro area. It was incorporated as a village on November 6, 1990. The population was 993 at the 2010 census, up from 825 at the 2000 census.
The town has only one major intersection of Illinois State Route 64 and Illinois State Route 47 which has a stoplight (put in sometime between 2010-2012). Additionally, there is a Post Office, an Elementary School, a few Industrial businesses, some homes, and a gas station that has closed and reopened at least 3 times! It is an average Illinois rural town. The Great Western Trail (Illinois) also runs through this town.
