The village of Lac Baker is located 4.2 km west-northwest of Portage du Lac in Lac Baker Parish, Madawaska County. It had a post office named Baker Lake 1893-1938. In 1904 Baker Lake was a settlement with 1 post office, 1 cheese factory, 1 church and a population of 200. It was renamed Lac Baker post office from 1938.
