Kingwood is a city in and the county seat of Preston County, West Virginia, United States, Founded in 1815, Kingwood is part of the Morgantown, WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 3,079 at the 2020 census.[1] Kingwood is home to the West Virginia Zoo.
