Karlskrona kommun is a municipality in Blekinge län, southern Sweden. It borders to Emmaboda kommun, Torsås kommun and Ronneby kommun. The city of Karlskrona is the seat of the municipality.

The amalgamation of the units in the area begun in 1967 when the Karlskrona stad was merged with Lyckeby landskommun. The whole territory had formally city status until 1971, when all local government units in Sweden became municipalities of unitary type. In 1974 it merged with the municipalities of Jämjö, Rödeby, Fridlevstad, Nättraby and Hasslö.
