Hutton (#9 on the map) is a town in south Essex, England. It has good links to Central London (around 20 miles (32 km) to the southwest) via Shenfield railway station which is just 1 mile (1.6 km) from Hutton. Brentwood town centre lies 3 miles to the west.

The parish was part of the Billericay Rural District from 1894 until 1934, when it was absorbed by Brentwood Municipal Borough. Since 1974 it has been located in the Brentwood District or Borough.
