Hoyland Swaine was a village in the parish of High Hoyland in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England. Since 1974 the parish has been part of the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough.

It was classified as an urban district between 1894 and 1938. In 1938 it was absorbed into Penistone Urban District. In the 19th century and before it was a township in the ecclesiastical parish of Silkstone in the Staincross Wapentake. It was in the Wortley Registration District.
