Horry County is a county in the Pee Dee region of the U.S. state of South Carolina. It had a population of 269,291 at the 2010 census. It is located on approximately 100 miles north of Charleston, South Carolina and is approximately 150 miles east of the State Capital, Columbia, South Carolina. The County has a total area of , of which is land and (9.66%) is water. The highest point in the county is 124 ft. above sea level.
