Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery was the first cemetery to open after World War I, when Mount Olivet Cemetery's space began to diminish. Holy Sepulchre was the first major cemetery to open with provisions that future care costs would be included in the purchase price of all graves, and the first to establish the policy of Lawn Level Grave Markers.
