A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Haywards Field from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"HAYWARDS-FIELD, an extra-parochial tract in Stroud [registration] district, Gloucester; 3 miles SW of Stroud. Population: 5. Houses: 2."

A Vision of Britain through Time states that, despite its size, it was a civil parish between 1858 and 1884. In 1884 it was absorbed into the village of Stonehouse.
