Hawnby is a small crossroads village and civil parish in the North York Moors National Park, North Yorkshire, England. The village is about north-west of Helmsley.
Prior to the nationwide municipal reorganization of 1974, Hawnby was part of Helmsley Rural District. Historically, it was an ecclesiastical parish in the Birdforth Wapentake.
