the following text is based on an article in Wikipedia

Hawksworth in Guiseley (#14 on the map) is a village 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the town of Guiseley in West Yorkshire, England. It is located to the south of Menston and north of Baildon.

Hawksworth was a civil parish located in Wharfedale Rural District in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 until 1937. In 1937 it was divided between the urban districts of Baildon, Aireborough and Ilkley.

Since 1974 these three urban districts have become parts either of Bradford Metropolitan Borough or Leeds Metropolitan Borough.

Historically, Hawksworth was in the ecclesiastical parish of Otley and in the Upper Division of the wapentake of Skyrack.

Hawksworth Hall, a Grade II* listed building, is a large house, probably built in the 16th century.
