Harwinton Vital Records Transcript at the Connecticut State Library and NEHGS

"The vital records of Harwinton, prior to 1854 are found scattered through Volumes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 12 of Land Records and a book of Marriages dated 1819-1854.

This alphabetical list was taken from a set of cards based on a manuscript copy of the Harwinton Vital Records made in 1916 by James N. Arnold, of Providence, R. I. Reference to the entries found in the Land Records is indicated by the abbreviation 'LR' and the number of the volume, and to the book of Marriages by the abbreviation 'M'.

The Arnold Copy, now in the possession of the Connecticut State Library, has not been compared with the original and doubtless errors exist. It is hoped that as errors or omissions are found notes will be entered in this volume and on the cards which are included in the General Index of Connecticut Vital Records also in the possession of the Connecticut State Library.

Hartford, Conn., December, 1927"
