Great Lever is now mainly a residential suburb of Bolton in Greater Manchester, England. It is about 2 1⁄2 miles (4.0 km) south of Bolton town centre and the same distance north of Farnworth. Prior to 1974 it was in Lancashire and was absorbed into Bolton in 1898. Its neighbour, Little Lever was not absorbed into Bolton in 1898, but became an urban district at that time.
