From 1935 until 1965 the civil parish of Folksworth and Washingley was located in the County of Huntingdonshire near Morborne west of Yaxley. After mergers in 1965 and 1974 the county became part of Cambridgeshire.

In 1935 the civil parish was formed from the hamlets and individual civil parishes of Folksworth and Washingley.
