Farmville is a town in Pitt County, North Carolina, eight miles to the west of Greenville, North Carolina. The population was 4,302 at the 2000 census. In 2005, it was estimated that the town had a total population near 6,500. Farmville is a part of the Greenville Metropolitan Area located in North Carolina's Inner Banks region.
