Fairlawn is a city in Summit County, Ohio, United States, and a suburb of Akron. The population was 7,437 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. [edit] History
Fairlawn was founded as a hamlet in 1891 when the Northern Ohio Railway was built. In 1908 it had a mill, general store, a blacksmith, and other businesses.
