A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Ewyas Lacy from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:
- "EWYAS-LACY, a hundred in Hereford; in the SW extremity of the county; containing seven parishes and part of another. Acres: 33, 361. Population: 3, 305. Houses: 688."
If the original map on which this sketch is based is blown up to a much higher magnification, you will find it includes many places in Herefordshire discussed on these pages. The rivers and ranges of hills are also shown.
