Encino is an affluent neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, with a relatively high proportion of white residents, compared with the city at large. It has a high ratio of military veterans among its 44,000+ residents.

Encino has three public and eight private schools, including two private high schools, and the community has been the home of many notable people.

Encino includes the Los Encinos State Historic Park and the Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area, which features athletic fields and other recreation facilities. Elsewhere there is a sports complex and a dog park.

There are approximately 3,800 businesses employing about 27,000 people.
