Elwood is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 11,177 at the 2010 census.

Elwood is a community in the Town of Huntington. At one time, the sign located at the corner of Elwood Road and Cuba Hill Road referred to Elwood as "The Heart Of Huntington." However, the sign has since changed, now using an actual heart rather than the word.
