A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Eidda from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"EIDDA, a township in Yspytty parish, Carnarvon; on the river Conway, 9 miles SSE of Llanrwst. Real property: £1,369. Population: 396. Houses: 73."

Yspytty parish was also known as Ysbyty Ifan and was in Denbighshire. Eidda had become a civil parish by 1881. (Source: (A Vision of Britain through Time)
