Dunn is a city in Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 9,196 at the 2000 census.

It is the birthplace of early an rock and roll guitar player, Link Wray, and General William C. Lee, father of the American Army Airborne. The city's slogan is "It's all right here." The name honors Bennett R. Dunn, who supervised the construction of the railway line between Wilson and Fayetteville. The city of Dunn was incorporated on February 12, 1887, at which time was a logging town and a turpentine distilling center. Dunn is home to two schools. Wayne Avenue Elementary is for kindergarten through grade 5; Dunn Middle School is for grades 6, 7, and 8. Dunn's students then attend Triton High School in nearby Erwin.
