Deane is a village and civil parish in the Basingstoke and Deane District of Hampshire.

The parish is surrounded by other Hampshire parishes, with Kingsclere to the north, Hannington to the northeast, Oakley to the east, Dummer to the southeast, North Waltham to the south, Steventon to the southwest and Overton to the northwest.

The population of the parish, as taken from The Office for National Statistics' own website was 183 in 2001 and 202 in 2011. This is contary to the figure given in Wikipedia.
