Crofton is a village in West Yorkshire, England, about south-east of Wakefield, some to the west of the town of Pontefract, and from the town of Featherstone. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 5,781.

Before 1974 Crofton was a civil parish within Wakefield Rural District.

GENUKI provides a description of the ecclesiastical parish of Crofton from a gazetteer from the 1820s. It was in the Agbrigg division of the Agbrigg and Morley Wapentake.
