Cressing is a village located in the Braintree District of Essex in England. The parish was part of the Braintree Rural District from 1894 until 1974. The population, according to the UK census of 2001, was 1,538.

Other villages within Cressing civil parish include Tye Green and Hawbush Green which are to the west of Cressing village. The nearest station is Cressing railway station, located about a mile away on the Braintree Branch Line.
