Clinton County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 42,040, which is an increase of 3.7% from 40,543 in 2000. The 2011 Census Population Estimate places the figure at 41,927. It is named for former U.S. Vice-President George Clinton. The county seat is Wilmington.
The Wilmington Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Clinton County.
