Cactus Lake is a small settlement that is located about 8 kilometers from the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Towns that surround it are Macklin, Luseland, and Major. Cactus Lake was once a large town, but due to the growing oil industry, fell to a population of only 2 when neighboring towns began to grow.
