Broughton is a large village and civil parish in the unitary authority of West Northamptonshire. From 1974 until April 2021 it was part of the South Northamptonshire District of Northamptonshire, England. At the UK census of 2011 it had a population on 2,208. The village is located around 2 miles (3km) southwest of Kettering, next to the A43 major road (it was bypassed in 1984).

Broughton has a long history, being referred to as "Burtone" in the Domesday Book of 1086. The church (St. Andrew), which is mostly early 14th century (although the chancel was actually rebuilt in 1828), incorporates part of a (12th century) Norman aisleless church at the southwest angle, including the reset south doorway with colonettes, scallop capitals and zigzags. The village has some notable Jacobean houses.

The OS map of 1900, the OS map of 1935, and the OS map of 1965 all show parish boundaries and settlements within parishes. These maps are all expandable to show individual parishes and are useful for inspecting changes occuring over the 20th century.
