Brailes Rural District existed in southwestern Warwickshire, England, from 1894 until 1931 when it was abolished and the parishes within it were absorbed by Shipston on Stour Rural District which had previously been in Worcestershire. Shipston on Stour Rural District was transferred to Warwickshire when county borders were adjusted in 1931.
This area of England includes not only Warwickshire and Worcestershire, but also Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. County borders have been adjusted a number of times over the centuries and one is apt to come across parishes that appear to be on the "wrong" side of a border.
