Place:Boxelder Cemetery, Red River, Texas, United States

Located at the intersection of FM 44 & FM 412, adjacent to Salem Baptist Church. In May 1880, Isaac Dillard deeded three acres to establish the church and its cemetery. The earliest marked burial is that of Robert M. Whitmire, who died Aug 1876 and was buried on the Dillard farm, but probably there were early interments, now lost. The church's continued existence notwithstanding, the cemetery is managed by the Boxelder Cemetery Association. There are now about 780 burials.
