Black Notley is a village and civil parish in Essex, England. It is located approximately 3 km (1.9 mi) south of Braintree and is 15 km (9.3 mi) north-northeast from the county town of Chelmsford. The parish is part of the Cressing, Black Notley, White Notley and Faulkbourne ecclesiastical parish cluster.

According to the 2011 census it had a population of 2,478.
