• "BEEBE PLAIN, a post village in Stanstead co., Que. In the centre of the village is Stanstead Junction, a station of the B. & M. R. It contains 3 churches, Church of England, Methodist and Union, the latter being occupied by the Baptists and Adventists. These latter Christians own the Beebe Plain camp grounds, comprising 10 acres with about 40 buildings. It has also 4 stores. 2 hotels, 1 foundry, 1 granite factory and telegraph and express offices. Pop. 450."
