  • "BEAUCE, a county of Quebec, bounded on the S. E. by the State of Maine. It is watered by the Chaudière River (in which gold is found) and several other streams, and traversed by the Levis & Kennebec Railway. Area 1,175,595 acres. Pop. 37,222."
