Magra is a rural residential locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Brighton (7%), Southern Midlands (9%) and Derwent Valley (84%) in the Hobart, Central and South-east LGA regions of Tasmania. The locality is about west of the town of Brighton. The 2016 census recorded a population of 699 for the state suburb of Magra.[1]
It is in the Derwent Valley a few kilometres north of New Norfolk.
