Village of Ava

Ava is an unincorporated post village in the northwestern part of the township of Noble, county of Noble, state of Ohio, United States of America. It is situated along the West Fork of Duck Creek in the west half of section 6 of township 7, range 9 (1st Congressional Survey).

History

The Ava Post Office was established on 1 March 1858. The village of Ava was surveyed and platted with twenty-two lots by William Lowe on 10 April 1873 for the proprietor, Levi Glover. The village had a station on the line of the Cleveland & Marietta Railroad.
