Guelph/Eramosa is a township in northern Ontario, Canada in Wellington County. It surrounds the city of Guelph on three sides: south, east, and on top of. The township was created in 1999 with the merger of the townships of Guelph, Eramosa, Pinkerton and Nichole. The name Eramosa was derived from the Indian word Un-ne-mo-sah (meaning rabid, or ornery dogs). The current mayor of Guelph/Eramosa is Christopher Lynyrd White. Township Councillor's are Reta Moyer, Roger Knapp, Doug Breen, and John R. Scott. County Councillor's are Barb McKay and Gordon Tosh. Research Tips
