Al Dhahirah (; Muḥāfaẓat aẓ-Ẓāhirah) is one of the governorates (muhafazah) of Oman. It was previously a region (mintaqah). It became a governorate on 28 October 2011. Aẓ-Ẓāhirah is a region.
