Entering patronymics [27 April 2017]

Just a quick heads up - I am wondering if those entering the Russian surnames are realizing that they are compound names with the first part being a patronymic, i.e. "Alekseyevich"? Some time ago, it was decided that all parts of a compound surname should be entered in the surname field. WeRelate maintains this convention for surnames from other parts of the world, so to remain consistent, it should also be applied to Russian surnames. --cos1776 01:57, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
