Spencers of the Great Migration vs earlier works [18 August 2012]

I wonder if anyone who watches William's page can tell me whether or not the work 'Spencers of the Great Migration' is considered the standard, most up to date work on this family. I dont have access to it, just the older issue of TAG (volume 27) which covers the Four Spencer brothers and their line back to John Spencer (d ca 1558) and ends there.

I'd also like to complete the Whitbread line but I havent seen anything that covers it in detail.--Daniel Maxwell 22:23, 17 August 2012 (EDT)
