Need to resolve parentage for William Sherrill [1 April 2009]

There is a discrepancy in the parentage of this William Sherrill. Some claim that his parents are Samuel Sherrill and Margaret Parsons, others claim they were William Sherill and Margerey Upright. Perhaps someone can cite specific sources to help resolve this conflict?

William Andrew Sherrill, Charles A. Sherrill, Wanda Clark, Mary La Jean Davis Sherrill, David L. Sherrill and others have for the most part shown over the years that William SHERRILL of Cecil County, Maryland was not a son of "Shipwreck Samuel SHERRILL" and Margaret PARSONS of New York whose descendants are found thoughout New England.

Based upon the above-referenced observations, it appears there is more support for William to be a son of William Sherrill and Margery Upright. Does anyone else concur?--Delijim 17:42, 1 April 2009 (EDT)
